Some hints to get the game running

This game will not run on Case Sensitive (or Journaled Case Sensitive) HFS+ filesystems. If you attempt to run it, it will present you with a warning that says: “Knights of the Old Republic.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete “Knights of the Old Republic.app” and download it again from the App Store.

To solve this, you can try creating a 6GB "regular" HFS+ disk image in Disk Utility, and copy the Knights of the Old Republic.app from your /Applications folder to the image, and try running the game from there.

Also, note that Intel graphic cards (that means GMA950 in Mid 2007 MacBook, or GMA X3100 in Late 2007 MacBook) are not supported by the game. You need an Aluminum macbook or better, with Nvidia or ATI video card to run this.

Lastly, the game is inconsitent under MacOS X Lion (10.7). Seems like AppStore version was QAed under Snow Leopard, so it might or might not run for you. 10.6.8 is probably the best version of MacOS X to run this game on.
