Great game, decent port
This game is a legend, for good reason. It’s story and development is unmatched by almost any other game in history. It’s starting to show it’s age, but if you can get past the outdated graphics and mechanics, it’s worth the $10 you’re paying for it. I’d pay $30.
This game has some replay value as well, given that you can choose between being a combat based character, force based, or skill based, as well as choosing between a light side and dark side play through.
The port to Mac is pretty good, a few minor issues. When I started the game, it was zoomed in on the upper left corner of the game. Toggling the graphics settings in options corrected that. I had a couple issues where after “opening” an object (footlocker, remains, etc) my character couldn’t move for 10 seconds or so. Only happened a few times per planet, and could be corrected by selecting another object or person to fix your path to that which you selected. Overall, I had a much better experience with this version than the PC “Steam” version.
Controls were nice, used “w” to move, ‘a’ and ‘d’ to move the camera and adjust your path, and click mouse to select something (‘right clicking’ or in this case, clicking the trackpad with two fingers was required during swoop racing), ‘tab’ to change which character in your party is selected.
The first planet, Taris, is long and sometimes slow but the game picks up
