Very poor support of hardware. It looks awful even on 21" iMac. Its maximal resolution is 1280x1024 and it looks really crappy on the big screen. And its 4:3!

Since iPad version is out there, it would be just great to have all savings synchronised between iPad and desktop version of game. Think everyone here will support this idea
im my opinion you should add the italian language in this amazing game because sometimes it’s quite difficult to play this game , i hope you will add italian language in this game
I absolutely love this game. I have played it on xbox for years and was absolutely elated when it came to Mac. Unfortunately, on the light side at least, the game gets hung up right before the major battle on Dantooine. It’s frustrating… Extremely frustrating… Please fix this glitch… It just freezes and sits there. I can run around, but cannot speak to anyone, go into any doors, or do anything except for restart the game...
This game absolutely rocks. It is easily one of the best RPGs ever made, and the port is rock solid. As an aside, the ipad port is also fantastic, and the game works just fine on my ipad 3. This should give you a sense of the level of performance you need, I would think that any decently modern computer should be more than enough. The game is based off of the 3.5 edition SRD, which is by far the best gaming (attribute, skill, etc….) system around. Excellent story, good gameplay, excellent RPG aspects.
You cannot play on a brand new Macbook Pro. The keyboard wont work. I wish I would have read the reviews prior to purchasing.
I’ll admit, I’m not at all a gamer. I find it hard to get into video games and can barely play Minecraft. But with this game, though, I would gladly spend my time on it! This game is spectacular and provides an immersive and story-based experience, which I enjoy. I’ve played the newer Star Wars games (Battlefront, Galaxy of Heroes, etc) but this is my favorite by far. I’m a huge Star Wars fan but only knew a lot about Rise of the Empire Era, but this game got me super interested in what it was like four thousand years before the movies. From what the other reviews said, I was a little worried about bugs and crashing, but this game runs flawlessly, considering I have a computer that surpasses the standards. Once I couldn’t get my character to move, but by shutting Vertical Alignment or something off I got the game working perfectly again. Though many complain about the controls, I found them easy to use after about an hour of playing, and I enjoy this style of strategy fighting. Others complain about the graphics. But this game was originally made in 2003 and the graphics were considered very good at the time. Personally, I have no problem with them at all. Also, the characters and storyline are BEAUTIFUL! It’s just like being in a movie yourself! I like the freedom you have in the game to do whatever you want and make it your very own story, so that you can play differently each time. While I’m sticking with Light Side for now, it will be great to see all of the different things you can do in the game. Even though at first I wasn’t interested in doing the side-quests I found that the ones I did were great, and I’m hoping to do more in the future. I’m looking forward to building lasting relationships with my party members- it’s like they’re real people! A few reviewers are also annoyed at how much dialogue there is. But this is an RPG- games like these are both story, battle, and character-oriented and KotOR is a perfect mix of all three. I’m currently playing with a Soldier/Guardian right now, and it’s working wonderfully! Everyone on the Ebon Hawk has different skills, feats, and attributes that they bring to the table, and it’s a pleasure to bring anyone along. I have come to really enjoy the entirety of the game and I’m not stopping anytime soon. I highly recommend this game to anyone who is a Star Wars fan, wants to play video games, and enjoys a good plot along with their action. So go on and get this game, you will not regret it.
Graphics: The game looks impressive (ex. grass), yet runs smoothly for me even at high settings (I have double the minimum system requirements). Sound: I loved the music and voice acting from the start. Gameplay: You’re able to customize many skills for each character. At first there are no useful active skills for combat (aside from throwing grenades), but over time you’re able to do cool stuff with the force powers and maybe a few feats. You’ll have lots of party members, and the game generously levels up the ones you don’t use so you can play around with them when you want. Story: From lore questions to dark/light side choices (which adds replay value), there are several times more dialogue options than a visual novel. Over the course of the game, I experienced the most mature story of any game I’ve played. Bugs: I didn’t buy it on Steam because people were complaining about game-breaking bugs. Fortunately, the game only freezed twice during conversations (don’t click too fast) and skipped ahead of dialogue once. Hence, I can at least recommend this version.
KOTOR2 was updated to support wide screen. I wish KOTOR1 would be updated to support wide screen too. Other then that this is a fantastic game but please lets get a wide screen patch please.
This game is a great game for hardcore Star Wars fans, as it provides a compelling story and magnificent gameplay. It is also good for fans of video games in general as it is a good RPG game that involves a lot of puzzle solving. The style of the game is a little challenging to get used to, but as you progress you begin to get used to it and understand that the game’s controls and limitations resemble how Dungeons and Dragons is played. The game is good at giving you a choice at what you want to do in the game, whether it is by giving you different options of what you want to say and having characters react to your actions or simply with all the weapons and tools available for your use, while still keeping you on track of the main storyline. Overall it is a great purchase for its price and will leave you always wanting more.
this game will not even let me past the first loading screen now earlier it let me lay 20 minutes until it crashed now it crashes during the loading screen FIX IT this game was awesome on the xbox now its a dissapointment
i bought thiis game thinking it would be a normal fighting game but it is a drag and drop and click to run and click to fight….dont waste your money!!!!!!!
I played this game back on PC and was ecstatic to see that it had bee adapted for Mac. This game is in the top 5 games I have ever played in my life. Are the graphics outdated? Yes. Is the combat not the greatest? Sure. But if you are a fan of Star Wars, RPGs, or video games as a whole, you would be doing yourself a huge disservice if you did not play this game at some point in your life. I have replayed this game over and over again, and each time I enjoy just as much as the first time. It truly is a legend in the RPG genre. It crashed a a handful of times in the over 100 hours I’ve spent playing this game, but you should be saving your games anyways. In conclusion, I have no doubt that I will continue to love this games for years to come.
This game is wonderful, there is not only an amazing story, but there are plenty of good sidequests and options. you can customize your character to have different traits and you have many options of what to do throughout the game, making the replay incredible. It’s kinda short, taking me only about 20 hours to complete but is rich with material and fun. Each planet is completely different from the last, from the trees of Kashyyyk to the seas on manaan, and i really liked the part with the leviathan. Even though it was made about 3 years ago the graphics are good, (but sometimes the items and background would take a second to fill in). Overall it is a great game and i’ve enjoyed playing through it, and give this game my highest remark. ( Why do the Sith blow up so many planets tho ): . ) #TheOne
I have played this game many times. I rate this 5 stars.
I used to love to play this game on Xbox, so I really wish it would work on my laptop. I’m trying to play on a MacBook Air, and for some reason when I get into the game, my keyboard just stops working. I was able to type in my characters name and everything, but when I get into the game nothing works except mouse controls. It seemed to load fine and everything, so I’m not sure if it could be that my laptop just can’t run it. If anyone knows what could be the problem it would be greatly appreciated.
I love Star wars Knights of the old republic, it takes me back when i played this game for hours on my old xbox. I just hope they plan to bring Star wars KOTPR 2 : The Sith Lords to the App store as well, that would be the best thing to happen
the game wont let me move with the keyboard. waste of money
Love the game! Second Star Wars game I ever played. (My first was the second part of this game) I’ve been waiting around for the second part to come out and it hasnt yet so until then its a four from me.
This game should, in all honesty, be considered as a theatrical addition to the star wars universe. It is every bit as intriguing and suspenseful as the motion pictures that we all so love to debate…. And if you have never heard of the game developer, Bioware, just know that they are some of the best at what they do. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD do yourself a favor and play this game. You are all welcome in advance.
